About Me

Hello there! My name is Cory Lewis.

I’m not a fan of these “Tell us about yourself” stuff, but I’m still going to do it.
I love Jesus and I enjoy talking about His Word and going deep into theology and doctrine. I’m a huge Bible nerd and I enjoy getting the chance to explain the Bible and helping people to understand it better. That’s why this blog suits me. I think of 1 Peter 3:15 where it says to always be prepared to give an answer. How can we be prepared to give an answer if we don’t understand the Bible and its truths? That’s one reason why I’m doing this blog. I wasn’t sure why when God first laid it on my heart, but when I was reminded of this verse, I realized that to help others understand, we first need to understand.

Oh yeah, here’s a quick list of random facts about me.

  • I’m married to an incredible woman of God named Stacy.
  • We have a cat named Hebe (pronounced like “heavy” with a “b”).
  • I’m a bit of a tech nerd.
  • I’m a pre-Disney Star Wars geek.
  • Stacy and I both love Lord of the Rings.
  • I have 4 sisters and no brothers. But because of various marriages, I now have 5 brothers (in-law)! And 1 additional sister (in-law).
  • I’ve been volunteering in the sound booth at whatever church I attended since highschool.
  • I grew up in Oshkosh, Wisconsin.
  • I now live in Eau Claire, Wisconsin with Stacy and Hebe (It’s pronounced “Oh” Claire).
  • I was homeschooled from K-12th grade. My parents called it Lewis Christian Academy.
  • I graduated from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh with a degree in Software Engineering.
  • I work as a software developer.
  • I have a personal website that I coded all myself rather than use a website builder. You can find it here.
  • Shameless plug coming. One of my sisters and her husband launched a website called SteadGoods. The purpose is to connect local producers with local consumers. Take a look and see if there are any producers in your area signed up! And please spread the word! https://steadgoods.com/
