I love Jesus and I enjoy talking about His Word and going deep into theology and doctrine. I also love it when I get the chance to explain the Bible and help people understand it better. I think of 1 Peter 3:15 where it says to always be prepared to give an answer. How can we be prepared to give an answer if we don't understand the Bible and its truths?

Forgetful God?

Torn paper with the text Forgetting with crumbled paper balls. Dementia, memory loss and disremembering concept.

Can God forget? Yes, but not in the same way we forget something and then smack our foreheads and say “Whoops! I forgot!” God’s not one to literally forget something. But the Bible says He does, so what gives? I’m so glad you asked.

Sin: What’s the Big Deal?

October 10, 2025 by Cory Lewis
Sin and intimate, silent and lonely suffering human soul. Person struggling with Sin. Separated from the world in it's own emotional pain and alienation.,3d illustration

What exactly is sin? And what’s the big deal? We talk about how terrible sin is in God’s eyes and Jesus died for our sin, but we don’t always explain what it is or why it’s so bad. We just know it’s bad. As always, I’m turning to the Bible for the answers.
