God calls us to walk in humility. In Matthew 6, Jesus lays down three examples of times to be humble and not arrogant like the religious leaders. He talks a lot about how God honors and rewards those who are humble and look to Him.
In His own words, Jesus came to fulfill the law. And He calls us to fulfill the Spirit of the Law. What does that mean? In short, we’re called to a higher standard of living than the world. Take a look at what Jesus said here with me.
Jesus opened His very famous Sermon on the Mount with the well known Beatitudes. Not all of them are well understood, however, so let’s dive in and learn what it is Jesus meant us to learn from them.
