Simplifying the Truth
God calls us to walk in humility. In Matthew 6, Jesus lays down three examples of times to be humble and not arrogant like the religious leaders. He talks a lot about how God honors and rewards those who are humble and look to Him.
In His own words, Jesus came to fulfill the law. And He calls us to fulfill the Spirit of the Law. What does that mean? In short, we’re called to a higher standard of living than the world. Take a look at what Jesus said here with me.
After the death of Jesus, all hope seemed lost. The disciples scattered. Lost and confused. Scared and depressed. Little did they know just how close they were to the greatest triumph in all of human history.
As we approach the Easter season, I wish to reflect upon all that Jesus endured on the Cross. We know the story. We know why He did it. Sometimes, though, I fear we don’t fully grasp the magnitude of His suffering.
Here at last is my final post in this series about baptism and baptismal regeneration. I take a look at the logical consequences of baptismal regeneration and ask the question, “Does this make sense in light of what we know about God and what His Word says?”
