Christmas Characters: Part 3

January 10, 2026 by Cory Lewis
Open book with glasses, Christmas lights, ornaments, and pine.

Mary and Joseph. The parents of Jesus. Of all the characters of Christmas, I think these are two of first ones we think of and probably talk about the most – apart from Jesus. But don’t tune me out thinking you’ve heard it all before. You might be surprised what you learn.

Forgetful God?

October 25, 2025 by Cory Lewis
Torn paper with the text Forgetting with crumbled paper balls. Dementia, memory loss and disremembering concept.

Can God forget? Yes, but not in the same way we forget something and then smack our foreheads and say “Whoops! I forgot!” God’s not one to literally forget something. But the Bible says He does, so what gives? I’m so glad you asked.

Sin: What’s the Big Deal?

October 10, 2025 by Cory Lewis
Sin and intimate, silent and lonely suffering human soul. Person struggling with Sin. Separated from the world in it's own emotional pain and alienation.,3d illustration

What exactly is sin? And what’s the big deal? We talk about how terrible sin is in God’s eyes and Jesus died for our sin, but we don’t always explain what it is or why it’s so bad. We just know it’s bad. As always, I’m turning to the Bible for the answers.

Victory in Jesus

July 9, 2025June 25, 2025 by Cory Lewis
It is Finished Easter graphic with New Life butterfly and Christian cross background

As Christians, we have victory in Jesus. Victory over sin, victory over the devil, victory over the world, etc. But all too often we live with a defeated mindset. I personally want to get back to the victorious mindset the Bible talks about.

Jesus’ Triumph

July 9, 2025April 25, 2025 by Cory Lewis
He is risen

After the death of Jesus, all hope seemed lost. The disciples scattered. Lost and confused. Scared and depressed. Little did they know just how close they were to the greatest triumph in all of human history.
