What exactly is sin? And what’s the big deal? We talk about how terrible sin is in God’s eyes and Jesus died for our sin, but we don’t always explain what it is or why it’s so bad. We just know it’s bad. As always, I’m turning to the Bible for the answers.
As Christians, we have victory in Jesus. Victory over sin, victory over the devil, victory over the world, etc. But all too often we live with a defeated mindset. I personally want to get back to the victorious mindset the Bible talks about.
After the death of Jesus, all hope seemed lost. The disciples scattered. Lost and confused. Scared and depressed. Little did they know just how close they were to the greatest triumph in all of human history.
As we approach the Easter season, I wish to reflect upon all that Jesus endured on the Cross. We know the story. We know why He did it. Sometimes, though, I fear we don’t fully grasp the magnitude of His suffering.
